Well Completion
The control line is usually used in conjunction with a TRSSSV，which is designed to shut down a section of the well from the wellhead to a level downhole. The TRSSSV is controlled by the surface control system and is normally closed. When pressure is applied to the control line and the control line pressure is maintained without dropping, the TRSSSV remains open until the control line pressure is relieved and the safety valve closes. The purpose of controlling the downhole TRSSSV is achieved by remotely transmitting hydraulic pressure through the control line.
